The textured surface of this carpet does a great job of hiding footprints and vacuum marks. This carpet is often the preferred style for households and is available in a broad range of prices.
Saxony CarpetSaxony: Soft & Smooth
Saxony carpet is a refined cut pile surface with a luxuriously smooth, soft finish. It's beautiful elegance works with traditional interiors.
Each yarn of a Saxony carpet has a uniform twist and finish, making this carpet the perfect solution for a master bedroom, dining room or a formal living room.
This style is not a good choice for high traffic areas or rooms with active kids. This style also shows footprints and vacuum marks.
Frieze Cut & Berber CarpetFrieze or Cut Berber: Durable Style
Frieze or cut berber is one of the hottest selling styles of carpet today. This durable carpet adds a sense of comfort and style with its thick, plush piles.

The combination of cut and loop piles create beautiful patterns in this versatile carpet style. Depending on the pattern, cut loop texture carpets can make a room more casual or more formal.

This style is also referred to as patterned carpet. Like looped styles, these carpets are low profile and thus perform well, however, sometimes their seams are visible.
